ENGLISH CHALLENGES

H                                                  ello! Learning English at the university has been different from how I learned it at school, I like that the units had a focus on everyday situations and the idea of taking this to blogs in which we can take the language to something more personal and communicative among classmates is a very interactive way to learn in my opinion and makes it not boring, considering that the pandemic did not prepare anyone to learn in this way, it has been super useful and enjoyable, although I would have liked to be in person to learn to speak it. This last one is one of the aspects that I need to improve and that in the online mode is difficult in my opinion. Speaking fluent english is a goal that still remains because every time we agree with a friend to speak in English we never succeed, so I hope to be able to practice with someone who speaks the language natively.

Outside of english classes I don't use the language as much as I would like, only when I'm watching programs from other continents and I listen them in their original language, reading some articles, listening podcasts or in social media as well since I like to see memes in English haha. Personally I like to watch movies and documentaries in their original language and this way I have learned most of the English that I know, since in some programs I have learned idioms, some funny, but that I think will be useful in case I go to the northern hemisphere someday (:

  1. Maybe going on an exchange trip to study in another country can help you to talk to someone who speaks native English, although of course it will probably be difficult, haha

  2. How great, I find it fun and functional to watch movies in the original language and I agree that you learn a lot of vocabulary that way :)

  3. To achieve your goal you just need more practise, also you can learn more if you see movies without subtitles

CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

H                                                                                                                                    ello! As I said before, I am a second semester student of architorture so I only have some subjects like English, Physics, Research, Fundamentals of architecture which are theoretical classes and in my experience they have been pleasant since the teachers and classmates have created a very good atmosphere, except when many homework come together. The previous semester I had a workshop, quite a plastic subject and although it was difficult to understand, the teachers were so understanding and they managed to reach us students very we...

TIME TRAVEL

If I had a chance to go somewhere in the future, I would choose Sngapore, because I think if today it is a fairly advanced city, I can't even imagine how would be in the future, obviously if the sea does not cover it first as it will happen with Venice, which would be interesting to visit, either the future ruins of this city or its adaptation to the new conditions.   I think the best time to travel to the future would be at the end of the next century, I would see with my own eyes the changes left by global warming, it would be like traveling to another planet as there would be dystopian landscapes by floods, but I am confident that I will meet fully aware and interesting people with whom to talk and transmit the experiences of each era.  I don't think I would like to stay in those years, I think that although it would be a more developed world, it is very likely to lack things that we still know today, like some animals, but more than anything is the cocoa that w...
